UK Handmade Wooden Beds
It all starts here with the wood. Timber is checked as it is unloaded from the delivery lorry to make sure it's good enough for a Revival Bed. Each week we handmade around twenty beds to order. This can be anything from a 3'0" sleigh beds right up to an 8'0" four poster.
Over 135 years of woodworking experience
Starting in the workshop we have seven time-served carpenters... bench joiners call them what you will. This vast pool of experience helps us to turn customers aspirations in to reality. When we need to adapt one of our beds everyone has a hand in the build; from cutting and sizing the individual rails, stiles and panels to making sure every joint fits snugly.
Hand making the components sizing the wood panels, assembling the under bed drawers, it's all in a days work.

Another 50 years adding the finishing touch
Making furniture is the first part of the story. We also have to put on paint, wax and lacquer finishes. Out paint finishes require a deft touch to provide the different levels of ageing and distressing that our customers like. Our finishers have also been working with us for years.

There is no doubt about it; without the dedication of the cabinet makers and finishers, Revival Beds would not be the manufacturer of quality beds that it is today. We'd like to pay tribute to their skills and expertise.
